is to become a photographer. For the past 2 years all i want to do is take pictures of pretty much everything. My family travels a lot and i love to capture the wonderful places we have been to. But the only disadvantage is the my family and i don’t have the money to buy myself a better camera, you know one of those professional looking one like the Sony’s. That’s all I’ve been asking for. I got a book on digital photography to help me get closer to my dream. My 16th birthday is next month all I’ve been asking for is for a camera. I’m praying to finally get one. Are there any suggestions you have to help me with my dream?

Hi Friend!

The one thing that I think is best in terms of dream chasing or pursuing goals, is to be able to experience what your dream is on some level.. With that being said, maybe you should find local photographers in your area that have a style of photography that you like, and offer to assist them with their next photo shoot. You can let them know they don’t need to pay you now and that you are just looking to gain knowledge, and network. People and businesses LOVE free labor! This is often times a situation in which a person / business will CAN’T refuse. Try that out, and who knows you may get a job from it to buy that camera BUT most importantly you will build a relationship with that photographer and get experience to see if this is really what you want..
